System of grading for the two first chapters of the course:

Most assignments in this class are graded pass/fail.
Instead of accumulating "points", each student completes assignments.
Based on the number of passed assignments, the final grade will be computed.
The following contribute to the final grade:

Quizzes	There are 10 quizzes graded on a pass/fail - passing each quiz adds 0.2 to your course grade
Tests	There are two tests. Passing each test adds 0.50 to your grade.
Calc. Lab	Passing the team exercise adds 0.25 to your grade
Group Project:	Passing the group project adds 0.5 to your grade.
Individual Project:	Passing the individual project adds 0.5 to your grade.
Participation	Participating in on-line meetings, live meetings, chat rooms, and the bulletin board on a weekly basis adds up to 0.25 to your grade.

Note that if one adds up all of the possible credit in the class, it totals 4.50. Only the following grades will be given: 4.0, 3.5, 3.0, 2.5, and 2.0. If your final grade falls precisely between two of those grades, it will be rounded up.
